Becky Collins is a muti-talented encaustic artist, who enjoys mixing other mediums with her encaustic work. She revels in the freedom and expression of her eclectic education and background. She works in encaustic, charcoal, tar and acrylic.
Born in Fairfield, Ohio, she joined the U.S. Army after high school and ended her military career as a decorated veteran of the Gulf War. Now, as a mother of three and wife of over 22 years, she has operated a successful, award-winning mural and custom paint finishes business for 15 years. Her extensive commissions include work for television, film, print and corporate clients, as well as inclusion in private collections around the world.
Becky moved to the Carolina foothills with her family in 2011 and enjoys volunteer work with Hospice of the Carolina Foothills and the Tryon Fine Arts Center , and is currently working with two programs teaching art to wounded soldiers and cancer survivors.
