If you enjoy contemporary art and you're looking for something to do on Sundays after church, before a movie matinee, or after Sunday lunch, consider visiting Upstairs Artspace.
The gallery, located at 49 S. Trade St., Tryon is excited to announce a new operating schedule for 2024 that will keep it open all weekend for those who may not be able to get to the gallery on a weekday.
The gallery’s new hours of operation are Wednesday through Sunday, 12-5 pm.
"By being open all weekend now, we hope to entice more local residents and out of town visitors into the gallery and into Tryon. We are joining a number of other galleries, shops and restaurants that are open on Sunday. The gallery is a wonderful art-filled place to include in one’s Sunday afternoon plans,” says gallery board president Sandra Miller.
On the gallery’s walls currently are the works of Mark Flowers, Suzanne Dittenber and Kevin Isgett. More information about their shows, “Off the Wall” and “Strangers,” is available at upstairsartspace.org.
